Camp Rules
The following rules are supplements to the Scout
Canada - National Council’s "Bylaws, Policies and Procedures", the
National Camping and Outdoor Activity Guide and any Northern Lights
Council camping policies. Our aim is to keep the OUT in Scouting.
These rules are not intended to restrict your activities, but to
ensure all users have fair access, safe conditions and quality
camping.
Enjoy the camp, which in the spirit of Scouting means use it, but do
not abuse it. It is OUR camp; there is no "someone" else to maintain
it and look after it. Please remember; always leave it in better
condition than you found it.
-
The Camp Host is in charge of the camp and may
cancel camping privileges for cause. Note: There are no paid staff
members at this site so Camp Host duties are conducted by members of
the Ernest Poole Scout Camp Committee.
-
No alcohol permitted at Scouts Canada Camps.
No exceptions!
-
Leaders are responsible for the safety, conduct
and health of their campers.
-
First Aid equipment is the group’s
responsibility. If a Camp host is on site, please notify him/her if
anyone is taken off site for medical attention.
ALL accidents must be reported
to your Group Committee and to the Council Office as soon as
possible on the appropriate forms.

-
Mattresses must stay on bunks. They are not to be
used on the floors.
-
Do not enter any other lodge or campsite without
an invitation.
-
Campfires are permitted in the designated fire
pits only and must be attended at all times. All fires will be fully
extinguished prior to departure. Do not move or destroy the fire
pits! Only dead, downed wood may be collected for fires. Bushes and

-
The Camp Host must clear you out of the camp

their campsites and any used buildings prior to leaving camp. Groups
are responsible to remove all trash on departure. Pack it In…Pack it
Out!
-
Check out is no later than 2:00 p.m. on the last
